HID Ballast inspection standards
1 . Lighting start-up test
. a standard voltage of 12.8V input should not flicker ( about 110 seconds after lighting there will be a slight flicker , no longer appears after this phenomenon , this slight defect temporarily acceptable ) when the light bulb ;
. b input standard voltage 12.8V lit the lamp cold start transient current should be about 6.5;. c when the input voltage is 12.8V standard light bulb hot start transient current should not exceed 8A 2 instant high and low voltage overcurrent protection tests.
a. Ballast input voltage is set to the normal start ( +1 V voltage error should be less ) between 8 ~ 22V; b. When the input voltage is less than or greater than 8V 22V ballast should automatically stop working ( +1 V voltage error should be less ) . c. When the input voltage is restored to more than 8V or 22V or less ballast should automatically return to work ( voltage error should be within + V ) 3. No-load protection test
a. When the ballast bulb is not connected , is unloaded, the ballast should automatically stop working to avoid high voltage damage. 4 . Short circuit protection test
a. Ballast is a short circuit at the output should stop working automatically to protect the ballast from damage. 5. Reverse polarity protection test
a. Ballast in the positive and negative input power to stop working automatically when reverse protection , ballast from damage. 6. Constant power test
a. When the input voltage is 8 ~ 22V , the ballast can be kept at a constant output power 35W ( plus or minus deviation of not more than 3W) about protecting HID bulbs from damage. 7.1m / time off test
a. Ballast 100,000 consecutive power / lighting operation can not fail ; production tests should be continuous power / lighting must not fail the test 500 times .
8. High and low temperature ambient temperature operating test
a. Ballast at -40 degrees to +105 degrees Celsius ambient temperature can be long working properly .
9. Quick Start Performance Testing
a. When the power input voltage is standard voltage 12.8V, start lighting the measured current is not less than about 6.5A, so that the xenon lamp start within one second , luminous flux up to 20 % of the standard width of 4 seconds , luminous flux up to 80% of the standard brightness . 10. Prolonged lighting test
a. Ballast must achieve uninterrupted power supply input battery lighting 24 hours without failure ; b. Must meet for 12 hours a day, accumulated 10,000 hours of continuous trouble-free . 11. Working temperature
a. Ballast shall comply with the state to work long hours under the surface temperature must not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. 12. Shockproof test
a. Ballast work state in the vibration tester with a frequency 10 ~ 45Hz, amplitude vibrations under 2 ~ 10mm environment in three directions X / Y / Z -axis for each eight hours without any fault .
b. Ballast monomer without any packaging in case one meter off the ground after a hard free fall , you should be able to continue to work normally. 13. Waterproof and dustproof test
a. Connect the power supply and lamp ballast soaked in water 24 hours of continuous work should be no failure. 14. Corrosion test 15. Radiated interference test
a. Car FM radio no noise occurs ( Radio ballast distance of about 1 m ) the actual use . Ballast for radio interference is less than -90DB less than 5 microwatts ;
b. Anti- Sink interference: When working in the junction of the ballast with an oscilloscope to measure the ripple less than 300mV, measured about 150mV ~ 250mV ( to avoid interference with other electrical work on the car )
